Kia India has unveiled a full-scale electric vehicle (EV) support framework ahead of the July 15 debut of its first locally manufactured EV, the Carens Clavis. The initiative, called K-Charge, integrates a nationwide charging network and specialised service provisions to elevate EV adoption in India .

At the heart of the ecosystem is the K-Charge platform, built into the MyKia app, granting users access to over 11,000 charging points across cities and highways through tie-ups with 18 major Charge Point Operators. The platform also features an EV Route Planner, enabling real-time slot checks, navigation and payments directly via the app.

Complementing the charging network, Kia India has equipped 250+ EV-ready workshops nationwide. These centres are staffed with trained technicians and EV-specific tools. Additionally, over 100 Kia dealerships now feature DC fast chargers ranging from 60 kW to 240 kW, allowing customers to conveniently charge their vehicles during service visits.

To enhance the home-charging experience, Kia offers 7.4 kW and 11 kW AC chargers for residential installation. This ensures overnight charging convenience that matches or surpasses current mass-market offerings.

Kia India has set a target to expand the K-Charge network to 20,000+ charging points by mid-2026, reinforcing its commitment to supporting EV users and enabling seamless long-distance travel.

Joonsu Cho, Kia India’s Chief Sales Officer, said the K-Charge ecosystem empowers customers with confidence and convenience in the EV journey. He believes it sets a new benchmark for electric mobility in India, debuting alongside the Carens Clavis EV, which will be unveiled via webcast at 12 PM on July 15.
