Kinetic Green has officially confirmed the launch of its new electric scooter, the Kinetic DX, set for July 28, 2025, following the release of a teaser that has stirred up anticipation among EV enthusiasts.
The teaser and recent sightings of heavily camouflaged prototypes on public roads hint at a design deeply inspired by the classic Kinetic Honda DX from the 1980s. This fusion of nostalgia and modern EV tech appears designed to appeal not only to vintage-scooter fans but also to urban commuters.
Spy images and patent filings confirm a boxy silhouette that echoes the original DX, complete with a square headlight and recognizable side panels. Early test mules feature 12-inch wheels, front disc brakes, hub-mounted motors, telescopic front forks, and twin rear shocks—suggesting moderate but practical performance.
Kinetic Green is marketing this model as a “family‑oriented” scooter, expected to compete with established EV rivals in India including Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Hero Vida, Ather Rizta, and Ola S1.
Built on the brand’s “Born Electric” philosophy in collaboration with Torino Design (Italy), the DX is set to launch before the festive season, potentially offering multiple battery options, fast charging, and IoT-connected features with a TFT or digital console powered by Jio Things.
Expected to be priced around ₹90,000–₹1 lakh (ex‑showroom), the Kinetic DX aims to rekindle the legacy of its petrol predecessor while catering to modern consumer needs. Final specs, pricing, and full features will be revealed at the July 28 launch.
