Latitude has partnered with Ampeco to deploy 10,000 electric vehicle chargers across the country. The strategic alliance aims to accelerate Italy’s shift to sustainable mobility by building a smart, scalable, and user-friendly charging network.
Latitude, a key player in e-mobility solutions, will lead the on-ground deployment of the charging stations, while Ampeco will provide the software platform to manage and optimize the entire charging ecosystem. The combined expertise of both companies is expected to streamline installation and improve user experience for EV drivers.
Ampeco’s cloud-based EV charging management software will offer features such as dynamic load balancing, remote diagnostics, and flexible billing options. This will empower operators to manage large-scale charging networks efficiently and ensure seamless integration with renewable energy sources.
The rollout will focus on urban and semi-urban regions, supporting Italy’s national climate goals and EU emissions targets. Both public and private sector locations—including residential areas, commercial complexes, and transportation hubs—will be considered for charger installation.
Executives from both companies emphasized the importance of interoperability, data-driven optimization, and ease of use to encourage faster EV adoption. The initiative is also expected to reduce range anxiety among consumers and support growing EV sales in the country.
This deployment marks one of the largest EV infrastructure projects in Italy to date, and positions the country as a growing hub in Europe’s electric mobility transformation. The partners aim to complete the rollout in phases over the next few years.
