Emobi, North America’s largest provider of EV charging roaming infrastructure, has struck a strategic partnership with ElectricFish to launch a new ultra‑fast, grid‑independent charging solution powered by Emobi’s JustPlug platform, the companies announced Tuesday.
The collaboration merges Emobi’s cloud‑based “Plug & Charge” technology with ElectricFish’s innovative 350Squared microgrid systems. JustPlug enables seamless, secure EV authentication by shifting the handshake process to the cloud making it compatible with existing, legacy chargers without costly upgrades.
ElectricFish’s 350Squared units deliver up to 350 kW of rapid charging via two ultra‑fast ports, combining energy storage with AI‑powered demand forecasting. These modular power‑bank systems can be installed in a matter of weeks with no trenching required, slashing grid‑upgrade costs by as much as 90%.
“Just like gas‑station pumps, these units offer fuel‑fast convenience—without the delay and expense of gridupgrades,” said ElectricFish CEO Anurag Kamal. The integration promises drivers ultra‑fast, resilient charging, while operators benefit from increased utilization and new revenue models.
Pilot installations are scheduled to go live in Detroit, Redwood City and Oakland, California, where combined JustPlug and 350Squared systems will demonstrate smooth, infrastructure‑free charging. The companies plan to scale solutions globally, targeting both public users and fleets.
This partnership underscores a pivotal shift in EV infrastructure—delivering speed, flexibility, and grid resilience in one package. With its forward‑thinking blend of AI, storage and seamless authentication, the combined Emobi–ElectricFish offering could redefine fast charging for future mobility ecosystems.
