MG Motor Signs MoU with Gujarat Govt to Upskill Students

An effort to empower students and close the knowledge gap between academics and business is the MG Nurture programme. Twenty-five colleges are involved in the programme, which aims to upskill 20,000 students. It focuses on providing practical training in Electric Vehicles (EV) and Connected Vehicles in engineering colleges and ITIs across India in order to teach future-ready skills.

The initiative attempts to improve students’ technical skills while also emphasising mentoring and soft skills to prepare them for problems in the future. Students can receive practical knowledge in a work environment thanks to the program’s internships and real-world experiences.

A community involvement programme called MG Sewa has acted as a catalyst for societal change by fostering inclusiveness, diversity, and general growth for fair and cooperative development. Even after four years, the programme is still helping the community in which it operates grow holistically and constructively.

The objectives of MG Sewa include providing medical treatment for the underserved, skill development, and sustainable employment for economically marginalised women. Its social activities also include cleaning the automobiles of senior citizens during a pandemic, creating jobs for women to enable sustainable livelihoods, aiding neighbourhood healthcare facilities, and more.
