Mahindra has launched the BE 6 Formula E Edition — a special-edition electric SUV inspired directly by its motorsport heritage. The all-electric BE 6 Formula E combines the performance and design DNA of racing with a road-ready EV, bringing motorsport attitude to everyday driving.

The special edition is priced from ₹ 23.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for the FE2 variant, while the higher FE3 variant is priced at ₹ 24.49 lakh. Bookings for the model open from 14 January 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to start from 14 February 2026.

On the outside, the BE 6 Formula E Edition stands out with a sporty and aggressive look: a signature front bumper with circular projector headlamps and gloss-black bezel, racetrack-inspired R20 alloy wheels, Firestorm Orange brake calipers, sporty roof and boot spoilers, and Formula E decals and badging across the body. It also offers four exterior colour options: Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black.

Inside, the cabin gets a motorsport-themed makeover: there are Firestorm Orange accents, Formula E logos, FIA-branded seat belts, and sport-style touches such as a race-inspired start/stop button flap, custom interface animations, and premium materials. Despite the sporty makeover, the SUV retains modern amenities and connectivity features expected in a premium electric SUV.

Under the skin, the BE 6 Formula E Edition retains the same 79 kWh battery and electric motor configuration as the standard BE 6, giving it powerful performance: 0–100 km/h acceleration in 6.7 seconds, a claimed top speed of 202 km/h, and a certified MIDC range of 682 km (real-world range said to be ~500 km). Support for DC fast charging lets users charge from 20–80% in around 20 minutes, making it practical for daily use and long-distance trips alike.

Overall, the BE 6 Formula E Edition is clearly targeted at buyers who want a blend of electric mobility, sporty design, and a bit of racing-inspired flair. With limited units and early-buyer incentives from Mahindra, this special-edition EV aims to attract those looking for something more expressive and performance-oriented than a typical electric SUV.
