Feston SEV has announced its entry into the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment as part of its expansion strategy in the clean energy sector. The company aims to strengthen its position in the renewable energy value chain by adding advanced energy storage solutions to its existing power electronics and solar product portfolio.
As part of this plan, the company will set up a manufacturing facility with an annual production capacity of 3 GWh. The new facility will focus on developing battery storage solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, supporting the growing demand for reliable energy storage in India.
The company revealed that its BESS solutions will range from small capacity systems starting from around 5 kWh to large container-based solutions of up to 5 MWh. These solutions are expected to help improve energy efficiency, provide backup power, and support renewable energy integration.
Feston SEV has also signed a strategic agreement with Light Mechanics Pvt. Ltd. for the design and deployment of a prismatic battery pack assembly line. This partnership is expected to enhance the company’s manufacturing strength and support high-quality battery pack production.
The company leadership stated that energy storage is becoming a critical part of the renewable energy ecosystem, especially as solar and wind power adoption increases. Battery storage helps balance supply and demand while ensuring stable and uninterrupted power availability.
With this expansion, Feston SEV aims to tap into the rapidly growing energy storage market in India. The company believes that increasing clean energy adoption and government support for storage technologies will create strong growth opportunities in the coming years.
