Audi has strengthened its expansion plans in China by unveiling the new E7X electric SUV at Auto China 2026. The luxury carmaker also introduced several China-focused technologies and new models as it aims to grow faster in the world’s largest automobile market.
The newly revealed AUDI E7X is the second production model under Audi’s China-exclusive sub-brand developed in partnership with SAIC Motor. The electric SUV has been specially designed for Chinese buyers who prefer premium design, smart features, and advanced connectivity.
Audi said the E7X offers a driving range of up to 750 km on the CLTC testing cycle. The SUV comes equipped with AI-powered driver assistance systems, a premium cabin, zero-gravity seats, and a large 21.4-inch rear entertainment display for passengers.
During the event, Audi management stated that 2026 marks an important year for the company’s future strategy in China. The brand is focusing on faster product launches, stronger local partnerships, and advanced digital solutions to stay ahead in the competitive EV market.
Along with the E7X, Audi also showcased the new A6L e-tron and updated A6L petrol models built with long-term partner FAW Group. The A6L e-tron features a long-wheelbase design, battery pack of up to 107 kWh, and a claimed range of 815 km.
With new electric vehicles, localized innovations, and stronger partnerships, Audi is accelerating its China business strategy. The company aims to attract more premium customers and expand its position in the fast-growing electric mobility segment.
