BMW Group has officially revealed the all-new Vision BMW ALPINA concept, introducing a fresh direction for the legendary ALPINA brand under BMW ownership. The one-of-one luxury performance study made its global appearance at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2026 in Italy, showcasing a blend of speed, comfort, premium craftsmanship, and futuristic styling.
The Vision BMW ALPINA has been designed to redefine modern grand touring with a focus on refined performance rather than aggressive sportiness. BMW says the concept represents the next chapter for ALPINA as the brand now takes a unique position between standard BMW luxury vehicles and ultra-premium Rolls-Royce models. The concept carries a sleek coupe-inspired body, signature ALPINA styling details, large multi-spoke wheels, and a modern interpretation of BMW’s classic shark-nose front design.
Inside the cabin, BMW has focused heavily on luxury and passenger comfort. The concept features a four-seat configuration with premium leather finishes, crystal-inspired controls, panoramic digital displays, and advanced BMW iDrive technology. Rear passengers also receive an exclusive luxury experience with integrated glass accessories and executive-style seating, highlighting ALPINA’s long-standing philosophy of combining performance with comfort.
Under the hood, the Vision BMW ALPINA is expected to retain a powerful V8 engine setup, signaling that BMW still sees a future for high-performance combustion-powered luxury cars alongside electrification. While the company has not officially confirmed detailed powertrain specifications, reports suggest the concept previews future production-ready ALPINA models that will prioritize effortless speed, smooth driving dynamics, and long-distance touring comfort.
BMW executives confirmed that the first production BMW ALPINA model inspired by this concept will arrive next year and is likely to be based on the updated BMW 7 Series platform. The automaker also emphasized that ALPINA will continue maintaining its distinct identity while benefiting from BMW Group’s advanced technologies, engineering expertise, and luxury ecosystem.
With the Vision BMW ALPINA, BMW is clearly positioning the brand as a new-age luxury performance division focused on elegance, exclusivity, and refined driving experiences. The concept not only preserves ALPINA’s heritage but also signals BMW’s ambition to compete more strongly in the global ultra-luxury performance segment in the coming years.
