Energy in Motion has entered into a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum to accelerate the deployment of heavy electric vehicle charging infrastructure and battery swapping facilities across India. The collaboration is aimed at supporting the country’s rapidly growing electric commercial vehicle ecosystem by improving access to reliable charging solutions for fleet operators and logistics companies.
Under the partnership, the companies plan to establish a nationwide network of high-capacity charging stations along with battery swapping infrastructure at selected HPCL fuel retail outlets. By leveraging HPCL’s extensive fuel station network, the initiative seeks to reduce charging downtime, improve vehicle uptime, and enable long-distance operations for heavy electric trucks and commercial vehicles.
The rollout is expected to address one of the biggest challenges in commercial EV adoption—accessible charging infrastructure for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. Fast charging and battery swapping solutions will help fleet operators reduce operational delays while improving the efficiency of freight transportation across key logistics corridors.
