Following the successful launch of its pilot edition earlier this year, the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) is pleased to announce the second edition of Spazio Italia – Italian Technology Platform in India, being held from 1–3 September 2026 at the EV India Expo, India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.

The second edition of Spazio Italia brings together five leading Italian companies – Bettinelli, Comau, Dell’Orto India, IMA Automation and Marposs – under one dedicated pavilion, showcasing Italian expertise and innovative solutions for India’s rapidly expanding electric mobility and automotive manufacturing ecosystem.

Located at Booth No. 17, Hall No. 9, Spazio Italia will provide visitors, industry leaders, OEMs, component manufacturers and potential business partners with an opportunity to discover Italian technologies spanning automation, precision manufacturing, automotive components, intelligent production systems and advanced solutions for the EV value chain.

Building on the success of the first edition

The second edition marks an important step in the evolution of Spazio Italia. Launched in April 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the initiative was conceived as more than a conventional exhibition pavilion – creating a structured platform for Italian companies to engage with Indian OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, policymakers, research institutions, academia and other industry stakeholders.

With its second edition, Spazio Italia continues this approach by facilitating business networking, technology exchange and opportunities for long-term industrial partnerships between Italy and India.

India’s rapid transition towards electric and sustainable mobility is creating growing demand for advanced technologies, automation, efficient manufacturing processes and high-quality automotive components. Italian companies, with their strong capabilities in engineering, manufacturing, automation, design and R&D, are well positioned to contribute to this transformation.

Italian expertise supporting India’s EV ambitions

The participating companies at Spazio Italia represent complementary areas of the automotive and manufacturing ecosystem:

  • Bettinelli – solutions and expertise in automotive and industrial components.
  • Comau – advanced automation and manufacturing technologies.
  • Dell’Orto India – specialised automotive component and mobility solutions.
  • IMA Automation – automated assembly and testing solutions for industrial and automotive applications.
  • Marposs – precision measurement, inspection and process-control technologies.

Together, the companies demonstrate the breadth of Italian industrial capabilities and their potential application across India’s evolving EV and automotive manufacturing landscape.

A platform for business collaboration

Spazio Italia is part of IICCI’s broader “Make in India with Italy” initiative, which seeks to strengthen economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries by connecting Italian technological capabilities with opportunities in the Indian market.

The platform is designed to go beyond product showcasing, creating opportunities for B2B meetings, technology partnerships, localisation, manufacturing collaborations and market development.

Mr. Claudio Maffioletti – CEO & Secretary General, IICCI, said: “Spazio Italia 2026 comes at a crucial moment in India’s transition towards sustainable mobility and advanced manufacturing. Italian companies bring specialised expertise in automation, electric powertrains, battery technologies, precision components, testing and smart production systems. Their participation supports IICCI’s “Make in India with Italy” approach, encouraging investment, localisation, technology transfer and R&D cooperation. We invite Indian companies and institutions to engage with the participating Italian organisations and transform technological complementarity into concrete, long-term partnerships that strengthen a competitive, sustainable and globally connected EV ecosystem.”

Mr. Alessandro Giuliani – President of IICCI added: “The second edition of Spazio Italia demonstrates the growing interest of Italian and Indian companies in developing meaningful partnerships across the electric mobility and automotive sectors. Italian expertise in precision engineering, automation, robotics and advanced components can complement India’s manufacturing capabilities and expanding EV market. Through business meetings, institutional engagement and technology exchange, the pavilion aims to promote practical and scalable collaborations. Our objective is to move beyond transactional relationships and support co-creation, localisation and the joint development of next-generation mobility solutions.”

Strengthening the Italy–India industrial partnership

The EV sector is emerging as a key area for deeper cooperation between Italy and India, with opportunities extending across electric mobility, automotive components, automation, smart manufacturing, powertrain technologies and other advanced industrial applications.

Through initiatives such as Spazio Italia, IICCI aims to facilitate direct engagement between businesses and create pathways for technology adoption, investment, localisation and joint industrial development.

The second edition is supported by Brembo, BYBRE and SDA Bocconi Asia Center, with EV India Expo as the partner.

Spazio Italia – Italian Technology Platform in India will be open to visitors from 1–3 September 2026, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at Booth No. 17, Hall No. 9, India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.
