Energy In Motion has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oil Field Warehouse & Services Limited (OWS) and Radiance Green Mobility Private Limited to deploy 500 electric heavy commercial vehicles across key freight corridors in India. The partnership is aimed at expanding electric heavy commercial vehicle deployment and supporting electric freight operations across these routes.
The planned deployment will cover three freight corridors: Mumbai–Pune, Mundra–Morbi–Ahmedabad, and Mumbai–Delhi. The rollout will begin with 50 electric heavy commercial vehicles on the Mumbai–Pune corridor in October 2026. The deployment is expected to scale across the other corridors as EIM completes its battery-swapping network.
Under the agreement, EIM will provide electric heavy vehicles along with battery-swapping, charging and energy infrastructure. OWS and Radiance Green Mobility will support commercial fleet deployment and operations as part of the partnership.
EIM’s electric heavy mobility ecosystem includes electric vehicles, battery-swapping infrastructure, charging infrastructure and energy solutions. The company’s electric heavy vehicle portfolio includes the Ashwa electric tractor, which has a 55-tonne capacity. EIM has also secured homologation for a 350-kWh battery variant of the Ashwa electric tractor.
The partnership brings together EIM’s electric heavy mobility and energy infrastructure with the commercial fleet and logistics operations of OWS and Radiance Green Mobility. The companies intend to support the deployment of electric heavy commercial vehicles on the identified freight corridors as the required battery-swapping infrastructure is developed.
EIM Managing Director Narendra Murkumbi said the company would offer electric freight movement at a cost significantly below diesel transport costs. The company said the collaboration with OWS and Radiance Green Mobility will support the expansion of electric heavy commercial vehicle deployment across important freight corridors in India.
