Battery distribution and service startup Pointo is looking to raise ₹70–100 crore to expand its EV battery refurbishment capacity and strengthen its distribution network across India. The company plans to use the fresh capital to establish an automated, large-scale refurbishment facility and expand its presence in Tier II and Tier III markets.

Pointo is focusing on a closed-loop battery ecosystem covering deployment, buyback, refurbishment and second-life applications. The company currently operates a 20,000 sq ft R&D and refurbishment centre and has previously raised ₹6.2 crore in a seed round led by Equirus InnovateX Fund.

The startup is targeting growth across e-rickshaws, L5 electric autos, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and second-life battery applications. Pointo estimates that around 8,000–10,000 electric autos could require battery replacements from next year, creating additional demand for lithium-ion batteries.

Retrieved batteries could also be repurposed for lower-power applications such as home inverters, supporting the company’s circular economy model. Pointo expects its revenue to reach around ₹150 crore in FY26.
