Montra Electric, the cutting-edge EV brand from the esteemed 124-year-old Murugappa Group, displayed their India’s first Pure Electric Heavy Duty Truck Rhino 5536e and Passenger Three-Wheeler Super Auto in the second edition of the SIAM Green Plate EV Rally, organized by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
At the rally, Montra Electric also highlighted India’s march into cleaner future by displaying Super Auto in Tri Colour – vibrant saffron, white, and green.
The rally, themed ‘Boosting विधुतीकरण (Electrification) in Indian Mobility,’ took place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, and was flagged off by Shri HD Kumaraswamy, Hon’ble Union Minister, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Steel, Government of India. Montra Electric’s Super Auto and Rhino EV truck were key participants in this rally, underscoring the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility. SIAM has launched a comprehensive initiative, विधुतीकरण (Electrification), as part of its Sustainable Mobility Advocacy. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the critical role electric vehicles (EVs) play in reducing reliance on fossil fuels and to highlight the concerted efforts of the Government, the auto industry, and other stakeholders in advancing electric mobility. The Green Plate EV Rally, a significant component of this initiative, continues to promote the adoption of EVs and their transformative impact on Indian mobility.
