Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited, one of India’s biggest EV Charging solutions suppliers and a branch of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (a subsidiary of Tata Power),declared the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors Limited (Tata Motors), India’s biggest commercial vehicle producer, to establish 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles (CV) in all metros cities viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata.
This strategic move expands their ongoing collaboration, in providing sustainability mobility solutions, with a focus on easy charging solutions for a small elected commercial vehicles. As part of this initiative, Tata Motors and Tata Power will provide exclusive charging tariffs for Tata Motors’ electric CV owners, resulting in lower operating costs and increased profitability for its customers. Electric CV users across the country will soon benefit from access to almost 1000 strategically located fast chargers, with the planned expansion of the charging network.
Under the EZ Charge brand, Tata Power has extended its network to include more than 1,00,000 residential chargers, 5,500+ public, semi-public, and fleet charging points, and more than 1,100+ bus charging stations spread among 530 cities and towns. These chargers have been arranged in a thoughtful manner in a variety of easily accessible areas, including offices, shopping centers, hotels, hospitals, and residential complexes.
The exponential rise of electric transportation in India has been made possible by this coordinated effort. India’s most sophisticated electric small commercial vehicle, the Ace EV, is available from Tata Motors and is serviced by more than 150 electric vehicle service centers around the country. ‘Fleet Edge’ telematics and an innovative battery management system allow the Ace EV to enhance road safety and vehicle uptime by providing real-time information into the location, health, and behavior of the vehicle’s occupants.
