As India prepares for a great leap in electric vehicle (EV) sales, GoMechanic is intensifying to become a key player in EV servicing.
To keep up with the increasing demand for electric vehicles, the company plans to construct EV-specific workshops in major cities including Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai.
According to recent announcements made by Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, India’s yearly EV sales might reach one crore by 2030, generating a substantial market valued at Rs 20 lakh crore. With government assistance via the impending third phase of the FAME program, GoMechanic is poised to grow its network of EV repair centers to assist fleet operators and private owners alike.
GoMechanic aims to double the number of EV-focused workshops it offers by 2026, starting in March 2025 with 100 sessions. “To guarantee excellent servicing for EV owners, our workshops will have cutting-edge technologies like real-time diagnostics and battery health monitoring,” said Muskan Kakkar.
GoMechanic is implementing cutting-edge technology, including telematics and IoT diagnostics, in light of India’s aspirations to become a worldwide leader in the automotive manufacturing industry. Predictive maintenance and real-time EV health monitoring will be possible due to this, which is essential for maintaining well-maintained automobiles.
Major EV companies like BluSmart and MoEVing are already receiving services from GoMechanic, which provides complete solutions for their electric three- and four-wheelers. These alliances are anticipated to expand as the domestic EV market in India grows into a multi-crore opportunity, bolstered by programs like as the production-linked incentive (PLI) plan for battery manufacturing.
India’s sustainability objectives are met by GoMechanic’s project, which maximizes waste reduction and prolongs the life of electric vehicle (EV) components. The company services many electric vehicles (EVs) and strives to lower energy consumption and emissions in the transportation industry.
By March 2025, GoMechanic co-founder Himanshu Arora hopes to have serviced 10,000 electric vehicles. “By offering affordable and effective solutions, we hope to establish ourselves as a reliable partner for both individual EV owners and fleet operators,” he stated.
GoMechanic is in a strong position to lead the EV servicing market and help India realize its goal of becoming the greatest automotive center in the world while also advancing the nation’s green and sustainable future.
