For its electric scooters, Simple Energy has introduced two battery warranty programs: Simple Super Protect and Simple Protect. While the Simple Super Protect program protects both the battery and the motor, the Simple Protect program only covers the battery. The programs also come with a battery and motor warranty of eight years or 60,000 kilometers.
The Simple One and the Simple Dot One are the current models in Simple Energy’s lineup. The Simple One is equipped with an 8.5kW peak power output motor that can reach a high speed of 105kmph and a 5kWh battery pack with a stated range of 212km. It has a monoshock and telescopic fork, and disc brakes on both ends are used to stop the scooter. A 7-inch TFT instrument console, all-LED lighting, a USB charging connector, and a 30-liter underseat storage area are included with the electric scooter.
With a stated range of 151 kilometers, the Simple Dot One is equipped with a 3.7kWh battery pack. The motor (same as the One) has a claimed top speed of 105 kmph and a peak power output of 8.5 kW. Its suspension system consists of a monoshock and telescopic fork. The scooter’s features include three riding modes—Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic—a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, and a Reverse mode.
Although the EV manufacturer‘s offer of extended warranty programs is a great step, it has not yet been able to match the insane demand resulting from more than one lakh pre-bookings. The manufacturer is situated in Bangalore. However, Simple Energy should be able to handle all of that demand and fulfill all of their reservations very soon, since they now have six dealerships open and more are on the way.
