MG Motor has been hinting at the upcoming release of the MG ES5 EV. It is expected that in international markets, the MG ES5 EV will take the position of the MG ZS EV. Here in India, we also have the MG ZS EV, and if the information from the previously stated source is correct, we might also have the MG ES5 EV.
The MG ES5 EV will be sold by the corporation in European markets. The company has not confirmed the EV’s release in the Indian market.
The headlights and bumper on the MG ES5 EV make for a stylish front end. Two of the MG lineup’s newest models, the Cyberster and MG 4 hatchback, have a similar design. Only the MG ES5 EV is compatible with the Nebula platform. Batteries with a maximum length of two meters with a maximum wheelbase of 3100mm can be supported by the platform.
4.4 meters is the length, 1.8 meters is the breadth, and 1.6 meters is the height of the MG ES5. At 2730mm, the car’s wheelbase is longer than the ZS EV’s.
For the EV, a single-motor rear-wheel drive system with 250 Nm and 167 horsepower is available. The car can run a full 100 kilometers in 8 seconds, with a top speed of 170 kmph. The company will offer the electric SUV in three different battery capacities. The battery’s specifics are still being worked out, but it will have a range of 425, 515, and 525 kilometers, respectively.
