Leading EV charging solutions startup chargeMOD has announced a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. to provide EV drivers with easy access to all HPCL EV charging stations across the country.
Following the upgrade, customers will find and utilize HPCL-installed charging stations with ease and won’t need additional accounts or apps. Furthermore, users can now roam across networks thanks to OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) technology. A press release claims that this partnership marks a significant turning point since chargeMOD may work with a government organization to enhance India’s infrastructure for EV charging.
To expand the selection of high-speed charging options, chargeMOD will also deploy close to 100 fast chargers at particular HPCL locations. These rapid chargers will also significantly reduce charging times, increasing the effectiveness and utility of electric vehicle driving.
“We want to make EV charging quick and easy for everyone with OCPI roaming and fast charger deployment,” said M. Ramanunni, CEO and co-founder of chargeMOD.
HPCL is building an EV charging network across India to allay consumers’ range worries. In addition to its present 4000+ charging stations, HPCL intends to construct 2100 fast charging stations on major routes and in cities by March 2025.
