To encourage environmentally friendly transportation, Skywell, United Arab Emirates, has teamed up with National Taxi, a Roads and Transport Authority operator.
In addition to the decarbonization targets that must be met in the upcoming years in order to reach zero emissions by 2040 for the taxi and limousine industries, the partnership promotes the attainment of plans and targets for net zero emissions public transportation in 2050.
In keeping with the National Electric Vehicle Policy, the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy 2030, and the ambitious Climate Neutrality Initiative 2050, this strategic partnership is a part of the UAE’s efforts to promote sustainable transportation.
With the goal of reaching the strategic plans for net zero emissions public transportation in 2050 and decarbonization targets to be met in the upcoming years to reach zero emissions by 2040 for the taxi and limousine sectors, this partnership reflects the RTA’s ongoing push for green transportation.
Thilak Raju, Head of Automotive Dealerships at Skywell UAE, and Chena Reddy, Group Managing Director at Legend Holding Group, viewed the incorporation of Skywell electric vehicles into National Taxi Operations as a crucial step in advancing the UAE’s sustainability objectives.
He went on to say, “Our electric vehicles are built with the newest energy-efficient technology, which ensures a seamless transition to cleaner, greener transportation while drastically lowering carbon emissions.”
