Aarika Innovation has announced the launch of KoolWheel, a Made-in-India smart tyre water spray cooling system designed to protect tyres from extreme heat, reduce blowout risks, and improve tyre life for freight transporters and school buses.

Built for Indian road and climate conditions, KoolWheel addresses one of the most common yet overlooked challenges in commercial mobility: tyre overheating. During peak summers, road surface temperatures can reach 65–70°C, pushing tyre temperatures to dangerous levels. This increases the risk of tyre failure, blowouts, maintenance costs, and downtime for fleet operators.

KoolWheel works through a dual-mode automatic cooling mechanism. The system uses an ignition-switched 12V setup, IR temperature sensors, a 5-bar pump, solenoid valves, brass nozzles, and an intelligent controller to spray a fine mist on tyres when temperatures rise above the set threshold or at regular timer intervals. The system requires no driver input and provides dashboard alerts through green, yellow, and red LED indicators along with a buzzer for critical alerts.

The product has been introduced in two variants: KoolWheel Freight, designed for trucks, trailers, tippers, and multi-axle vehicles, and KoolWheel SchoolSafe, developed for school buses and passenger coaches. KoolWheel Freight is designed to cover up to 22 tyres across 6 axles, while KoolWheel SchoolSafe is optimised for daily school routes. The company claims the system can help extend tyre life by up to 35%, reduce tyre temperature by up to 25°C, and offer payback in under three months for freight vehicles.

Speaking on the launch, Swayam Agarwal, founder, Aarika Innovation, said, “KoolWheel has been created to solve a very real problem faced by Indian transporters and school bus operators every day. Tyre overheating is not just a maintenance issue; it directly impacts road safety, operating costs, and fleet reliability. With KoolWheel, our aim is to offer an affordable, intelligent, and Made-in-India solution that helps fleets run safer, longer, and more efficiently.”

The SchoolSafe variant has been developed with a special focus on child safety, helping school buses maintain cooler tyre temperatures during high-heat, stop-start routes. The system includes a compact 50-litre stainless steel tank, automatic engine-off shutoff to prevent battery drain, and clear dashboard indicators for the driver.

With commercial fleets, logistics companies, schools, and passenger transport operators facing rising tyre costs and safety concerns, KoolWheel positions itself as a practical innovation for India’s mobility ecosystem. The system is currently serving markets including Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana.
