ACCIONA, via its electric vehicle arm Silence, has launched an upgraded version of its popular S02 electric scooter aiming to strengthen its foothold in urban mobility with improved stability, lighter build and enhanced practicality.
The major design upgrades include a larger-diameter front wheel, which boosts stability and safety on city roads. For the first time, the scooter now offers under-seat storage roomy enough for a full-face helmet, addressing a key everyday need of riders.
Weighing just 132 kilograms, the new S02 is lighter than before making it nimbler in dense urban traffic and more convenient for delivery riders or shared mobility fleets. Its officially rated range has also increased: the scooter now claims an impressive 138 kilometres per charge, leading its segment in terms of range.
ACCIONA will offer the revamped S02 in two versions: the L1e, a moped-class variant capped at 45 km/h (priced at €2,990), and the L3e, capable of reaching up to 85–90 km/h (priced at €3,490 in Spain).
The scooter keeps the brand’s trademark removable 5.6 kWh battery which means users can charge it at home from a regular outlet or swap with a fully charged unit in under 30 seconds at any of Silence’s swap-stations across Spain and France.
With these upgrades, Silence aims to make the S02 ideal not just for private riders but also for urban delivery services, fleet operators, ride-sharing and anyone needing efficient, sustainable city mobility offering convenience, safety and long range in daily use.
