The China-exclusive brand AUDI has revealed the exterior design of its upcoming all-electric premium SUV AUDI E7X, developed in collaboration with SAIC. This marks the second production model under the AUDI marque (distinct from the global Audi with four-ring logo) — following the earlier E5 Sportback. The announcement emphasizes that E7X is designed specifically to meet the tastes and needs of Chinese EV buyers.
The E7X carries forward the design language of the concept SUV shown at the 2025 Auto Guangzhou show. Its exterior sports clean surfaces, sharply sculpted wheel arches, a bold upright front fascia with vertical digital Matrix LED headlights inside a black wraparound frame, and short overhangs — giving it a strong, premium, and modern SUV presence.
On dimensions, the E7X is substantial, placing it firmly in the full-size SUV segment: its length is listed at 5,049 mm, width 2,002 mm, height 1,708 mm, and wheelbase 3,060 mm. This suggests a roomy interior along with a commanding road presence, aligning with its premium positioning.
Under the skin, the E7X uses the jointly developed Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP) from Audi and SAIC, underlining the localization push for China. Powertrain options will include a rear-wheel-drive setup with around 300 kW output and an all-wheel-drive version pushing up to 500 kW, promising strong performance.
According to official information, the E7X will debut publicly at the Auto China 2026 motor show in Beijing, scheduled between April 24 and May 3, 2026, and the SUV is expected to hit the Chinese market in the first half of 2026.
With E7X, AUDI aims to blend premium build quality, futuristic design and strong EV credentials — targeting customers seeking a full-size EV SUV that fits China’s growing demand for luxury electric vehicles. This launch further deepens Audi-SAIC’s EV strategy in China, combining German engineering DNA with local market adaptation.
