Autel Energy Rolls Out 400 kW MaxiCharger at Bangkok Central

Global EV charging solutions provider Autel Energy has installed a new 400 kW “MaxiCharger” DC fast-charging unit at a key location in Bangkok as part of its efforts to bolster electric vehicle infrastructure in Thailand. The deployment marks a significant milestone in supporting urban sustainability and accommodating growing EV usage in Southeast Asia.

The new charger supports both CCS and CHAdeMO connector standards, ensuring compatibility with a broad array of electric vehicle models, including next-generation high-capacity battery cars. With its ultra-fast 400 kW output, the unit is engineered to reduce waiting times for drivers and thereby improve the charging experience in high-traffic metropolitan zones.

Thailand’s national target to have EV production account for 30 % of vehicle output by 2030 has driven the demand for fast-charging infrastructure, and Autel’s new installation aligns directly with that policy ambition. The company’s charging technology — including intelligent load management, high energy-efficiency operations, and real-time analytics — is designed to minimise grid strain while improving user convenience.

According to a spokesperson from Autel Energy, “We are proud to contribute to Thailand’s growing EV ecosystem with our 400 kW MaxiCharger. This installation represents a key step in building reliable, fast, and future-ready EV charging infrastructure that supports both local drivers and international travellers.”

The deployment of the 400 kW MaxiCharger allows most electric cars to reach an 80 % charge in under 20 minutes, making it particularly well-suited for high-traffic commercial locations, transport hubs and urban fleet operations where downtime must be kept minimal.

By strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific region through this Bangkok installation, Autel Energy expects the site to serve as a blueprint for future projects across the region. The company emphasises that smart, scalable and sustainable charging solutions will be key to driving the transition toward cleaner and greener transportation systems.
