The Chetak Urbane, a new variation of Bajaj’s electric scooter, is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh for the standard model and Rs 1.21 lakh with an extra “Tecpac,” which improves features and performance.
According to the Bajaj website, the Urbane has a little better range (113km) than the existing Chetak (108km). However, the Urbane’s range is IDC-certified, but the current Chetak Premium’s range is real-world, with an IDC rating of 126km. This implies that the Urbane’s real-world range may be relatively limited, though specifics have yet to be confirmed. The website confirms that the new Chetak Urbane has the same 2.9kWh battery capacity as the previous model.
The Urbane has the same color LCD display as the Premium. The Urbane has a top speed of 63kph and just an Eco riding mode in its stock configuration. The “Tecpac” upgrade raises the peak speed to 73kph and includes a Sport riding option.
However, when compared to the present Chetak Premium, the new Urbane falls short in some areas. The standard charger’s power has been reduced from 800W to 650W, resulting in lengthier charging periods of 4 hours and 50 minutes as opposed to 3 hours and 50 minutes previously. Furthermore, the Urbane is equipped with drum brakes on both wheels.
