India’s electric vehicle charging landscape is set for a push forward as Bolt.Earth, the country’s largest EV charging network, announced a strategic partnership with electric scooter maker Simple Energy to strengthen the fast-charging ecosystem for two-wheelers.

Under the agreement, all Simple Energy Gen 2 electric scooters will be fully compatible with Bolt.Earth’s Blaze DC fast chargers, which conform to the Type-6 LEVDC standard. These chargers available in 3 kW and 6 kW power variants — are designed to offer faster, more reliable, and efficient charging options for riders across India.

Simple Energy’s earlier-generation vehicles (Gen 1) will also gain access to the fast-charging network through a planned software update, ensuring that more riders benefit from the expanded infrastructure. This move is expected to broaden the reach of high-speed charging in the growing electric two-wheeler segment.

According to the companies, Bolt.Earth has already deployed over 270 Blaze DC chargers in more than 100 cities nationwide, giving riders multiple locations to charge quickly while on the go. Users can find and use these chargers through the Bolt.Earth EV Charging App, making charging stops easier to locate and navigate.

To simplify the experience for Simple Energy customers, integration of Bolt.Earth chargers within the Simple Connect App is also underway. This will allow riders to access charger locations and information directly through the app they already use for vehicle data and controls.

Executives from both firms emphasized that improving fast-charging infrastructure is key to boosting confidence in electric two-wheelers and accelerating EV adoption across urban and semi-urban markets. By combining Simple Energy’s advanced scooters with a wider fast-charging network, the partnership aims to set a new benchmark for convenience and reliability in India’s EV ecosystem.
