In order to consolidate all of the nation’s charging stations onto a single platform, Bolt.Earth has announced the launch of its Open EV Charging Platform. By making charging accessible to everyone, this initiative hopes to meet India’s growing demand for charging stations. With the launch, Bolt.Earth will establish itself as an all-in-one resource for EV users to locate and access charging stations across India.

Bolt.charging Earth’s network is optimized for both users and hosts thanks to a thorough verification process, an industry-first peer-to-peer validation system, and AI-driven anomaly & fraud detection products. The Bolt.Earth Open EV Charging platform is created to connect with the growing number of EV drivers and eliminate range anxiety while vastly improving the charging experience for EV users. It already provides access to over 20k+ charging points on the network and has successfully integrated with over 20+ EV manufacturers, charger OEMs, and mobile applications.

The company has invited charging point manufacturers, fleet operators, and leading EV makers to add their charging points to the constantly growing Bolt.Earth network through their Open EV Charging Platform. In order to make EV charging easier for users, the EV tech company also urged other app-based service providers to incorporate Bolt.charging Earth’s services into their own apps.

“We are extremely excited to launch the Open EV charging Platform which has already seen a lot of success from Tier-1 two-wheeler EV manufacturers and third-party service apps such as Park+, Highway Delite, and Log9. We believe this is critical for the country to ensure interoperability between different charging networks and pave the way for a more unified energy consumption structure for EV users, irrespective of 2-wheeler, 3 Wheeler or 4 Wheeler EVs”, said Bolt.Earth’s Head of Product Chaitanya Chaudhari

The demand for charging stations is increasing quickly as EV sales in India begin to reach an inflection point in terms of adoption. By compiling charging stations on a single app for users, Bolt.Open Earth’s EV Charging Platform aims to meet this demand for EV charging at home and in public places. The platform, which is a two-sided open engagement, will also enable the owners of individual charging points to capitalize on the demand for those charging points.

The platform will make it simple for EV charging consumers to be reached by EV manufacturers and charging point hosts. Additionally, Bolt.Earth extends its software stack to manufacturers and hosts so they can monitor the health and usage of their charging points in real time. This software stack consists of the Bolt EV charging app and charger management system, or CMS.

The Open EV Charging Platforms provide third-party apps with a way to improve their in-app offerings by including EV charging as a value-added service. To enable service providers to incorporate charging services into their apps, Bolt.Earth will make its APIs and SDKs available to them.
