Evera, an app-based electric cab mobility company, has unveiled plans to rapidly expand its electric vehicle fleet to 4,500 cars by June 2026, reinforcing its position as a leading player in India’s electric taxi segment. The announcement comes as demand for sustainable urban mobility rises sharply in the Delhi-NCR region and beyond, with Evera poised to capitalise on market opportunities.

The company currently operates around 500 electric vehicles, and the planned expansion will be driven by the integration of a large number of leased vehicles on its platform. A significant portion of the fleet growth stems from a 4,000-vehicle lease arrangement arranged through Signodrive Technologies, leveraging assets formerly associated with another operator.

To support this aggressive growth strategy, Evera has also secured USD 2 million in funding from Signodrive Technologies, aimed at strengthening its infrastructure and technology systems. These investments will help enhance fleet management, operational capabilities, and customer service delivery across business-to-consumer and corporate segments.

Evera serves both B2B and B2C customers, with airport transfers forming a key part of its consumer business, while corporate clients increasingly rely on its electric cabs for employee transportation. The company has been operating all-electric airport services since 2022 and continues to widen its service offerings.

Leadership at Evera says the expansion aligns with a broader push toward premium and reliable electric mobility. By upgrading its operational platform and scaling its vehicle base, the company aims to provide consistent, zero-emission taxi services across major demand corridors in the capital region and potentially other cities in the future.

This fleet expansion marks a significant step in Evera’s ambition to compete with traditional mobility operators and shape the future of shared electric transportation in India, as cities seek greener alternatives to conventional fossil-fuel-powered cab services.
