FlixBus has partnered with Green Drive Mobility to introduce electric intercity bus services between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The initiative marks another important step towards sustainable long-distance transportation in India while supporting the growing adoption of electric mobility solutions across the country.
Under the first phase of the partnership, four electric buses will operate on the high-demand Vijayawada–Visakhapatnam corridor, one of the busiest intercity travel routes in Andhra Pradesh. The companies aim to provide passengers with a cleaner, technology-enabled, and more comfortable travel experience compared to conventional diesel-powered buses.
The collaboration combines FlixBus’ digital ticketing platform, route management technology, and customer network with Green Drive Mobility’s EV fleet operations and charging ecosystem. Through this partnership, passengers will benefit from app-based booking services, modern onboard amenities, and reliable intercity connectivity while contributing to reduced carbon emissions.
According to Green Drive Mobility Founder and CEO Harikrishna, deploying electric buses on the Vijayawada–Vizag route will help reduce environmental impact while improving passenger comfort and operational efficiency. The company also highlighted its plans to expand electric intercity bus services across more South Indian routes in the coming phases.

The launch aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s broader electric mobility push, as the state continues expanding EV infrastructure and promoting greener public transport systems.
