Greaves Electric Mobility has struck a new partnership with Alt Mobility, aiming to give a big push to electric-vehicle fleets in India’s commercial sector. This collaboration is focused on accelerating adoption of EVs by fleet operators — especially in last-mile delivery and urban mobility — starting with major hubs in Delhi and Bengaluru.

Under the agreement, Alt Mobility will operate more than 700 units of the Ampere Magnus SW S electric two-wheelers (E2Ws), supplied by GEML. These will be deployed through Alt Mobility’s “Drive-to-Own” model — meaning delivery partners, gig riders, or fleet operators can lease rather than buy upfront, making EV adoption easier and more affordable.

A key part of this plan involves collaboration with Indofast Energy, which will provide battery-swapping solutions and energy infrastructure. The aim: to ensure the fleet remains operational with minimal downtime, giving businesses the confidence to scale electric mobility without worrying about charging or maintenance constraints.

The Ampere Magnus SW S itself is built for the demands of Indian logistics. It comes with a robust dual-frame chassis capable of carrying up to 200 kg payload, ground clearance of 165 mm, 12-inch tires for better stability on Indian roads, and a high-performance motor suited for city riding and cargo duties. It is also IoT-enabled for fleet-management, comes with a warranty of up to three years or 75,000 km, and enjoys support from a nationwide network of 500+ service touchpoints under the Ampere Care initiative.

According to GEML’s Managing Director, this partnership underscores their commitment to building a future-ready B2B EV ecosystem in India. By combining GEML’s EV manufacturing experience with Alt Mobility’s leasing and fleet-management platform, they hope to make electric mobility accessible, practical and reliable for fleet operators across cities.

In broader terms, this tie-up is a significant step toward scaling EV adoption in India’s last-mile delivery and logistics sectors. With easier access to electric vehicles, supportive infrastructure, and flexible leasing, more fleet operators may now shift from conventional fossil-fuel vehicles to clean, zero-emission EVs — moving India closer to sustainable mobility goals.
