The GV70 EREV, scheduled for release in late 2026, will feature a small gasoline engine that acts as a generator to extend the vehicle’s driving range beyond that of a standard electric vehicle. Hyundai, Genesis’s parent company, projects a combined driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometers (620 miles), making it ideal for consumers seeking long-distance electric mobility without frequent recharging.
Following the EREV, Genesis plans to introduce the GV70 Hybrid in early 2027. This model will combine a conventional internal combustion engine with an electric motor, delivering a seamless balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
