Godawari Electric Motors, the makers of the Eblu line of goods, has announced that their 200Ah lithium-ion battery pack, manufactured by Ruchira Green, has obtained AIS 156 approval from the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) under Amendment-III Phase-II. Godawari Electric Motors has begun using these certified batteries in its e-cars Eblu Rozee and Eblu Reino. The battery was thoroughly tested and met all of the safety and performance standards stipulated by ICAT under the most recent revision.

Mr Hyder Khan, CEO of Godawari Electric Motors, said, “This is one of the key milestones that we have achieved since the inception of Godawari Electric Motors. The battery is one of the core components of an EV and with our 200Ah pack receiving ICAT certification, we are compliant with the latest regulations laid down by the governing authorities. Our focus has been on creating quality products with rider safety in mind and this certification will further enhance the customer awareness and help in building trust in our products.”

Godawari Electric Motors now sells the e-auto (L5M) Eblu Rozee as well as the e-bicycle ranges Eblu Spin and Eblu Thrill, each of which comes in three variants. As part of its network expansion strategy, the business has opened 28 dealerships around the country.
