Greaves Electric confirmed layoffs in “double-digit” numbers in response to a question about the existence of layoffs. Confirmation of the precise number of layoffs was not possible.

Double digit layoffs can also refer to 99 or 11 people. A number of merchants who were informed of the same claimed that about 100 workers had been let go.

We thoroughly review and modify our business plan each year to account for changes in the industry. Owing to the constantly changing nature of our surroundings, this calls for organizational restructuring, which involves reevaluating our skill set, allocating resources to various businesses within our Group, and possibly rearranging staff roles. For businesses like ours to maintain agility and flexibility and prevent redundancy, such adaptability is essential. A representative for the company stated, “We are unwavering in our commitment to boosting value for our business, employees, and shareholders.

What’s interesting is that Sanjay Behl has also quit as the company’s CEO. He “has chosen to pursue personal interests outside the organization,” according to Greaves Electric.

K Vijaya Kumar has been appointed as the new Executive Director & CEO of Greaves Electric Mobility. Kumar was earlier associated with SAR Electric Mobility as the company’s MD and CEO.

Previously, some dealers have alleged foul play against the brand. Some also alleged that Ampere Electric Vehicles and Greaves Electric Mobility are the same companies.
