Green Capital has appointed Electrum as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Poland. The project will have a total capacity of 80 MW/320 MWh, marking a significant step toward strengthening the country’s energy storage capabilities and supporting renewable energy integration.

The BESS project is planned to be developed in Poland and will play a crucial role in enhancing grid flexibility and reliability. As renewable energy adoption continues to grow, such storage solutions are becoming essential to balance supply and demand while ensuring stable power delivery.

Under the agreement, Electrum will be responsible for the complete execution of the project, including system design, procurement of key components, construction, and integration with the power grid. The company will also implement advanced technologies to ensure efficient and optimized performance of the storage system.

The project is expected to support Poland’s transition toward cleaner energy by enabling better utilization of renewable sources such as wind and solar. Battery storage systems help store excess energy and supply it during peak demand periods, reducing dependence on conventional power sources.

In addition to the construction scope, the collaboration is expected to ensure long-term operational efficiency and reliability of the system. The project reflects the growing importance of energy storage infrastructure in modern power systems, particularly in regions witnessing rapid renewable expansion.

With this development, Green Capital continues to strengthen its position in the energy storage sector, while Electrum reinforces its expertise in delivering advanced energy solutions. The project highlights the increasing role of large-scale BESS installations in accelerating the global shift toward sustainable and resilient energy systems.
