Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its new premium motorcycle portfolio, announced the commencement of VIDA’s European operations and introduced Novus Labs, its dedicated innovation hub for future mobility, at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The announcements come as the company marks 25 consecutive years of global leadership in the motorcycle and scooter industry. Its showcase includes the XPulse 450 adventure motorcycle, Harley-Davidson X350T, new electric mobility products and future technology concepts. The company aims to strengthen its premium motorcycle portfolio, expand its international electric mobility presence and advance emerging mobility technologies through its research and development centres in India and Germany.

The Hero XPulse 450 is the company’s new flagship adventure motorcycle and its most powerful model to date. Developed with inputs from Hero MotoSports Team Rally, the motorcycle is powered by a 421cc liquid-cooled, four-valve DOHC engine that produces 34.3 kW at 9,100 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed transmission and an assist and slipper clutch. The motorcycle features fully adjustable KYB 43mm USD front suspension with 225mm of travel and 22-step compression and rebound damping adjustment. It also comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, which Hero MotoCorp describes as a category-first feature. The company has developed the motorcycle for both Indian and international markets.

Alongside the XPulse 450, Hero MotoCorp showcased the Harley-Davidson X350T, extending the flat-track-inspired design language of the X440T into the 350cc segment. The motorcycle is powered by a new 350cc air-oil-cooled engine and features an electronic throttle body, riding modes, switchable ABS and traction control. Its chassis uses a trellis frame with USD front suspension. The model has been developed primarily for the Indian market, keeping local road conditions and rider requirements in mind. The company also unveiled the Hero Scrambler Concept and Hero Classic Concept, offering a preview of its future premium motorcycle portfolio.

Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand VIDA has commenced its European operations, with customer deliveries beginning across European markets. In partnership with Elektrorider, the brand will operate its direct-to-consumer sales model in 10 countries: Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Croatia. The VIDA DIRT.E K3 will be available through this sales model. Additionally, the VIDA VX2 electric scooter and DIRT.E K3 will be retailed through physical stores in six markets: Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia and Croatia. The VX2 offers a claimed WMTC range of 140 km in Eco mode and a top speed of 90 kmph. It features two removable IP67-rated batteries designed for home charging, with test rides and retail availability scheduled to begin in December 2026 across the six retail markets.

The company also presented several electric mobility products and concepts under the VIDA brand. The DIRT.E K3 is an adaptive electric off-road vehicle designed for young riders. Developed by Hero MotoCorp’s Tech Centre Germany and its global research and development teams, it features a tool-adjustable, three-stage platform that can grow with the rider. VIDA also introduced a limited-edition version comprising 100 individually numbered units with Portuguese livery to mark the 100th 6Days event. Other showcases included the UBX neo-naked urban explorer prototype, Project VXZ electric motorcycle concept developed in partnership with US-based Zero Motorcycles, and the DIRT.E MX7 electric off-roader designed for adult riders.

Hero MotoCorp also introduced Novus Labs, a Chairman-led innovation hub focused on identifying emerging mobility requirements, developing solutions and advancing them into working prototypes. At EICMA 2026, the company presented the NEX 1 and NEX 2 working prototypes. The NEX 1 is a compact, portable electric vehicle designed for short urban journeys, with a claimed top speed of 15 kmph and a range of 20 km. The three-wheeled NEX 2 targets a WMTC range of more than 150 km and a top speed exceeding 100 kmph. The technology showcase also included AI-powered vehicle interfaces, facial recognition-based keyless ignition, an AI voice assistant, wireless charging for the VX2, multi-fuel powertrain research, advanced thermal management and intelligent rider safety technologies. Through these developments, Hero MotoCorp aims to expand its global mobility operations and strengthen its capabilities in future automotive technologies.
