In order to improve the EV charging network and increase the uptake of electric vehicles, HMIL and Charge Zone have partnered to install DC 60 kW fast chargers at 100 dealerships.

At the HMIL headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana, on Wednesday, Hyundai Motor India (HIML) and Charge Zone inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). One hundred Hyundai stores nationwide will have 60 kW DC fast charges placed under the MoU Charge zone. Through the “my Hyundai” or “CHARGE ZONE” apps, this agreement will offer convenient charging access for all EV customers, including non-Hyundai owners. The South Korean automaker hopes to attract more customers to switch to cleaner mobility by improving its charging infrastructure and partnering with CHARGE ZONE. Hyundai dealerships are strategically located in cities and along highways, making it convenient for both intracity and intercity travel. This strategic alliance aims to support the expansion of public EV charging facilities. Adding to India’s carbon footprint.

Furthermore, this calculated action takes place in the context of Hyundai’s impending $3.5 billion IPO for its Indian division, highlighting the company’s dedication to the Indian market and electrification objectives.

Charge Zone’s Kartikey Hariyani highlighted how the partnership with Hyundai has improved the infrastructure for four-wheel electric vehicles (BEVs), guaranteeing dependable and easy access to charging stations.
