JSW MG Motor India has selected eight startups for the sixth season of its MG Developer Program (MGDP), following a multi-stage evaluation of more than 130 applications under the theme “Innovation in Automotive”. The selected startups will work with the automaker and its ecosystem partners to explore pilot projects and real-world applications of their technologies. The programme aims to encourage innovation across automotive technology, mobility and related industries.
The eight selected startups are Nayan Technologies, Technod8.AI, LiveNSense, LW3, Smaartbrand by Acquink Solutions, Fitsol, Cautio and Meta Materials Circular Market. More than 40 startups were shortlisted for the presentation rounds, while 18 advanced to the final jury round, according to the company. The selection process brought together startups developing solutions for automotive, industrial and mobility-related applications.
Nayan Technologies focuses on AI-powered road intelligence, while Technod8.AI is developing agentic artificial intelligence for physical-world applications. LiveNSense works on industrial AI for heavy industries, and LW3 focuses on AI- and blockchain-based compliance solutions for electric vehicle battery supply chains. These startups are addressing areas including road intelligence, industrial technology and EV battery supply chain compliance.
Smaartbrand by Acquink Solutions develops AI-based customer voice and decision intelligence solutions, while Fitsol focuses on supply chain decarbonisation. Cautio offers a mobility intelligence platform, and Meta Materials Circular Market develops digital infrastructure for the automotive circular economy. Their solutions cover customer intelligence, sustainability, mobility services and circular economy applications.
Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, said that the convergence of mobility, data and artificial intelligence was creating new opportunities for innovation in the automotive sector. He also highlighted the programme’s aim of providing startups with a platform to collaborate, experiment and scale their ideas. The selected startups will work with the company and its ecosystem partners to explore potential pilot projects and practical applications.
Launched in 2019, the MG Developer Program has received more than 1,680 startup entries across connected mobility, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, sustainability and next-generation automotive technologies. Season 6.0 was conducted in partnership with organisations including the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Startup India, Jio, Gulf Oil India, TiE Delhi NCR, iCreate, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited. The programme continues to connect startups with industry stakeholders to explore emerging automotive technologies and mobility solutions.
