QuickCharge, a prominent Charging Point Operator (CPO) in Malaysia, has partnered with Kazam to implement its Charging Management Solution (CMS) and improve the management and scalability of its EV charging network. Since adopting Kazam, QuickCharge has deployed 100+ chargers across residential, hotel, and office spaces, meeting the growing demand for efficient EV infrastructure.
Over the past six months, QuickCharge has witnessed impressive results through Kazam’s charging management solutions which includes an app as well as a dashboard access to manage every charger. The energy demand routed for EV charging has more than doubled between July and December 2024, as users for the app have ballooned past 50K.
“We chose Kazam as our technology partner because of their proven track record in delivering scalable, user-friendly, and intelligent EV charging solutions,” said QuickCharge spokesperson. “The insights provided by their analytics, combined with a high level of service standards, have allowed us to deliver a more seamless experience to our customers while meeting the growing demand for EV infrastructure.”
Kazam’s CMS offers advanced analytics, remote management, and revenue optimization tools, significantly enhancing operational efficiency for Charge Point Operators across the world. QuickCharge is also trialing Kazam’s Dynamic Tariff feature, which allows flexible pricing based on various vehicle parameters such as time of day, state of charge (SOC), and other conditions. This pricing model helps manage peak demand, optimize resource utilization, and provide transparent pricing options for users.
“Our Dynamic Tariff feature represents the next frontier in EV charging,” said Akshay Shekhar, CEO & Co-Founder, Kazam. “By adapting to real-time conditions, it not only maximizes revenue but also ensures a seamless and user-friendly experience for EV owners. We are excited to see QuickCharge adopting this innovation to enhance its network across Malaysia.”
Malaysia’s electric vehicle (EV) sector is undergoing rapid expansion, fueled by strong government incentives, infrastructure development, and a rising shift toward sustainable transportation. As the country sets ambitious targets for EV adoption, the demand for a robust and scalable charging network has never been greater. In response, QuickCharge plans to launch 2,000 new EV chargers across Malaysia in partnership with charging software provider Kazam to bolster the nation’s charging infrastructure and support its growing community of EV users.
As Malaysia accelerates its transition to electric mobility, the QuickCharge-Kazam partnership represents a key step in building a more connected and efficient charging ecosystem. The collaboration will help pave the way for greater EV adoption by ensuring that charging infrastructure keeps pace with demand, ultimately supporting the country’s sustainable transportation goals.
