Kia India has officially unveiled the Carens EV Clavis, marking the debut of the country’s first all-electric 7-seater vehicle. The new model was showcased during Kia’s recent event, where the company highlighted its roadmap for EV expansion in the Indian market.

The Carens EV Clavis aims to bridge the gap between practicality and sustainability, offerinfg families a fully electric option without compromising on space or performance. With a three-row seating layout, the new EV caters to larger families, a segment previously underserved in the electric vehicle category.

Kia has designed the EV Clavis with modern styling and advanced technology, featuring a bold exterior design, LED lighting, and a spacious cabin. Inside, the car is equipped with digital displays, smart infotainment, and connected car technology tailored for urban and intercity travel.

Though official specifications are yet to be revealed, industry insiders expect the Carens EV to offer a range of around 400-500 km, backed by Kia’s global EV platform. Fast-charging support, regenerative braking, and multiple drive modes are anticipated to be part of the package, enhancing both efficiency and performance.

The Clavis EV will also align with India’s Make in India initiative, with local assembly planned to meet rising domestic demand. Kia aims to strengthen its EV footprint in the country while addressing the family-oriented market with a value-driven yet premium offering.

With the Carens EV Clavis, Kia sets a new benchmark in India’s electric vehicle space, positioning itself as a pioneer in the electric MPV segment. The model is expected to launch commercially in the coming months, expanding EV choices for Indian consumers.
