Komaki Electric has unveiled its latest offering, the XR7, claiming the title of India’s longest-range electric scooter. The company says the XR7 can travel up to 322 km on a single charge while keeping the ex-showroom price under ₹90,000.
The XR7 blends classic scooter aesthetics with modern electric power. Its retro-styled exterior pays homage to vintage models, but beneath the surface lies a 3,000 W BLDC hub motor, a Lipo4 (LiFePO₄) battery pack, and smart features including disc brakes, self-diagnosis functionalities, and OTA updates.
Komaki emphasizes the battery’s durability and safety: its Lipo4 chemistry supports 3,000–5,000 charge cycles, resists overheating, and lowers fire risk crucial for long-term ownership.
The XR7 is equipped with a wireless controller, smart sensors monitoring speed and system health, and a self-diagnostic interface that warns riders of potential issues before they escalate.
With a starting price of ₹89,999 (ex-showroom), the XR7 aims to deliver strong value combining attractive styling, impressive range, and advanced tech features at a competitive cost.
However, real-world performance and long-term reliability remain to be seen. Independent reviews and user feedback will ultimately determine whether the XR7 lives up to its bold claims.
