Mallareddy Deemed to be University & ThunderPlus Sign MoU

to Develop EV EV-focused academic programs and courses

Mallareddy Deemed-to-be University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ThunderPlus, a leading EV charging solutions provider, to jointly foster talent and innovation in India’s electric vehicle (EV) sector. The collaboration will focus on creating specialized academic programs, offering students real-world industry exposure, and driving research in sustainable and green technologies.

Under this MoU, the University and ThunderPlus will work together to launch EV-focused academic programs and courses tailored for students, while also providing them with hands-on exposure through projects, internships, and placements. In addition, both partners will collaborate on research and development initiatives aimed at advancing green mobility and sustainable technologies.

Highlighting the importance of the partnership, Shri Dr. Ch. Badra Reddy, Chairman of Mallareddy Group, said:“ThunderPlus has set new benchmarks in the Indian EV sector by making charging infrastructure reliable, accessible, and scalable. Their innovative work is not only solving real-world challenges but also inspiring future engineers to think big.”

As part of the Engineers’ Day celebrations, the University also felicitated Mr. Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, for his significant contributions to advancing India’s EV ecosystem.

The event was attended by Dr. Yuvaraju Chinnam, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Malla Reddy (MR) deemed to be University along with the Deans, faculty, and other distinguished members of the University.
