Matter Motor, a homegrown electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has entered into a strategic partnership with Bolt.Earth, a key player in EV charging infrastructure. The aim is to enhance charging accessibility and support for EV users across India, thereby contributing to the broader push toward sustainable mobility.
Under this collaboration, riders owning Matter bikes will be able to access Bolt.Earth’s charging network directly through the MatterVerse app. Via this integration, users can locate nearby chargers, book charging slots, and operate chargers seamlessly in one unified platform.
The rollout plan for this partnership is structured in phases. First comes the full integration of Bolt.Earth chargers into the MatterVerse app, with real-time navigation and usage support. Next, co-branded charging stations will be deployed at Matter’s showrooms and service centres to support test rides, customer charging, and dealer readiness. In future stages, the plan may extend to bundling chargers with new Matter vehicles to further boost user convenience.
In terms of responsibilities, Bolt.Earth will oversee charger installation, maintenance, uptime monitoring, billing, and service-level guarantees, while Matter Motor will focus on infrastructure placement planning, awareness campaigns, and integrating app functionalities for riders.
This alliance is expected to strengthen India’s EV charging ecosystem by offering riders more reliable and widespread access to fast-charging infrastructure. The move aligns with government ambitions to accelerate electric mobility adoption and reduce carbon emissions in the transport sector.
