The company’s new electric vehicle, the MG Windsor EV, has been well received by consumers and MG Motor India has started to distribute it.

With a single charge, the car’s 38kWh battery can go 332 kilometers. It comes with a 45kW DC charger, which takes 55 minutes to fully charge a 10% battery.

Battery as a Service (BaaS) is a novel pricing model that the company has introduced for e-cars. Customers can rent the battery as part of the program, which significantly reduces the car’s original cost. This application, called BaaS, also works with other models, like the Comet and ZS EV, increasing the accessibility of electric vehicles.

Ex-showroom, the MG Windsor EV is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh with BaaS. Customers can also take advantage of buyback options, a lifetime battery warranty, and a year of free charging. Without BaaS, the starting price is Rs 13.5 lakh (Ex-showroom), which is quite reasonable considering the comforts and services it offers.

The Windsor EV’s exterior features include 18-inch alloy wheels, pop-out flush door handles, and all-LED lighting. There is ample space inside for the front and rear passengers. The inside features excellent fit and finish along with premium materials to appeal to tech-savvy consumers.
