Musashi Seimitsu Industry, Japan, has declared a key collaboration with Log9 Materials, that focuses to alter the electric vehicle (EV) market, by merging Musashi’s high-speed e-Axle system and Log9’s battery technology producing an integrated powertrain solution customised particularly for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers.

What does this partnership offer?

Designed with OEMs in mind, the alliance combines battery packs with e-Axels to minimize energy losses typical of conventional powertrains, increasing vehicle range and enhancing performance under a variety of driving circumstances, particularly in heavily populated metropolitan regions.

In order to improve overall performance and durability, the cooperation also highlights important problems in EV energy management, scalability, and service reliability.

Co-Founder of Log9 Materials, Pankaj Sharma revealed, “We are excited to share the news of our collaboration with Musashi as we strive toward a common goal of developing premium engineering solutions for electric cars (EVs). Our goal is to offer the most advanced powertrain solutions on the market by fusing Log9’s cutting-edge battery technology with Musahi’s manufacturing and energy-efficient motion converter skills. Both businesses have a strong commitment to using cutting-edge technology to decarbonize the world, and this partnership will help us achieve our shared goals and corporate ethos in the future.”

President and Group CEO of Musashi, Hiroshi Otsuka, commented on the partnership, saying, “We are committed to delivering a comprehensive, high-performance solution designed for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers by joining forces with Log9. Our objective is to close significant gaps in the market, provide an integrated system that maximizes the benefits of the battery and drivetrain systems working together, and establish new benchmarks for sustainability and innovation in the industry.”

The centralised service approach for the integrated battery and e-Axle systems is the primary feature of this collaboration. It will decrease repair downtime and increase customer satisfaction by providing faster service turnaround. Through this collaboration, the firms hope to guarantee that electric mobility is practical and available in places like India and Southeast Asia, where last-mile deliveries and transit depend heavily on two- and three-wheelers.

Finally, the companies involved in this alliance intend to expand globally, with a focus on Southeast Asia and Africa, supported by a robust after-sales service network situated in strategic Indian cities.
