Neenjas Electric has secured a 20,000 square metre (sqm) industrial plot from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to set up a new manufacturing facility in Sector 8D, Greater Noida. The Letter of Intent (LoI) was formally issued to the company for the development of a state-of-the-art EV charging and renewable energy production hub.

Under the project, Neenjas Electric plans to invest approximately ₹169 crore to build a facility focused on large-scale manufacturing of on-board electric vehicle chargers and solar power banks. These products are designed to strengthen India’s domestic supply chain for power electronics and renewable energy storage solutions tailored to local conditions.

The facility will produce a range of high IP-rated onboard chargers suitable for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and light commercial vehicles, along with advanced solar power bank systems aimed at enhancing energy reliability. The initiative is expected to support India’s transition to clean energy and electric mobility while reducing dependence on imported components.

Officials from YEIDA said that the Sector 8D location offers strong logistics and connectivity advantages due to its proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar and expressway access. These factors are seen as key for reducing transportation costs and boosting the region’s potential as a manufacturing and export hub for green technology industries.

The project is also expected to generate local employment opportunities, contributing to economic growth in the Greater Noida region. It aligns with broader policy goals to expand India’s domestic EV infrastructure and support the ‘Make in India’ initiative by developing advanced manufacturing capabilities in the electric mobility sector.

YEIDA’s allotment to Neenjas Electric comes amid wider efforts to build the Yamuna Expressway corridor into a key EV and electronics manufacturing cluster, with other companies also securing land and LoIs for related industries. This development underscores the growing investor interest in clean energy and electric vehicle supply chain projects in northern India.
