To support Odysse Electric’s expansion across India, Zypp Electric has invested in the company. As part of this collaboration, Zypp Electric has placed an order for 40,000 electric vehicles, which will be delivered over the next three years.
The investment is expected to improve Odysse Electric’s position in the B2B market and expand its network of dealerships across the country. By increasing production capacity and improving distribution capacities, the company hopes to satisfy the growing demand for environmentally friendly mobility solutions in both the personal and last-mile delivery segments in both urban and rural regions.
Akash Gupta, the CEO and co-founder of Zypp Electric, highlighted the company’s plans to deploy 200,000 EVs over the next two to three years in order to decarbonize last-mile delivery. He said that the investment aligns with Zypp Electric’s ideals since Odysse Electric demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the ability to meet particular needs.
Founded in 2020, Odysse Electric offers a range of electric vehicles, including motorbikes and scooters, for both personal and commercial use. Its inventory consists of seven models.
The Vader electric motorcycle has a 7-inch touchscreen Android display, five drive modes, an 18-liter storage capacity, a battery that has been approved by AIS-156, and a robust build. The EVOQIS electric bike has features including four drive modes, an anti-theft lock, keyless entry, and a motor cut-off button. The high-speed electric scooter SNAP has a CAN-enabled display, a waterproof engine, a clever portable battery, and a “distance to empty” indicator.
