Ola Electric has introduced its new S1 X+ electric scooter, aiming to accelerate mass adoption of electric vehicles in India. The latest model comes equipped with the company’s indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell technology, marking a significant step toward affordable and high-performance EV mobility.
The newly launched S1 X+ 5.2 kWh variant is priced at an introductory ₹1,29,999 (ex-showroom), with the offer valid for a limited period. Through this competitive pricing strategy, the company is targeting a wider customer base and making long-range electric scooters more accessible to everyday users.
One of the key highlights of the scooter is its advanced 4680 Bharat Cell battery, which has been developed in-house by Ola Electric. This move reflects the company’s strong focus on vertical integration, allowing it to control battery development, vehicle engineering, and manufacturing while reducing costs and improving efficiency.
In terms of performance, the S1 X+ offers a claimed range of up to 320 km on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range scooters in its segment. It is powered by an 11 kW mid-drive motor and can achieve a top speed of around 125 km/h, delivering a balanced combination of power and practicality.
The scooter also comes equipped with modern features such as Brake-by-Wire technology and front disc brakes, enhancing safety and riding control. These features, combined with improved battery performance, position the S1 X+ as a strong contender in India’s growing electric two-wheeler market.
With this launch, Ola Electric aims to bring its advanced battery technology to the mass market and strengthen EV adoption across the country. The S1 X+ represents a strategic move to bridge the gap between affordability and high-performance electric mobility, supporting India’s transition toward sustainable transportation.
