Omega Seiki Mobility and Brandwin Group, Brandwin will begin producing and distributing its line of electric trucks in the country. It includes 1-ton and 3-ton M1KA models. The business will at first sell CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits of the M1KA in Bangladesh while the production line is being built. A combined investment of Rs. 82 crores ($10 million) will be made by both businesses. OSM estimates that the first 500 electric trucks will be sold annually.
In Bangladesh, Omega Seiki Mobility has built an electric vehicle manufacturing facility close to Dhaka. This facility will start producing electric three-wheelers in April 2023 for both domestic and international markets. Omega Seiki Mobility currently operates four manufacturing facilities in India, two of which are in Pune and Faridabad.
The company claims that Bangladesh is geographically dangerous due to rising temperatures and is one of the main victims of climate change and that this, combined with the government’s concerns over the issue and the brand’s expanding economy, seems to create a demand for a reliable and secure transportation system.
With the help of this partnership, Omega Seiki Mobility will be able to better serve a clientele that is actively seeking a zero-emission, sustainable last-mile transportation option in Bangladesh. Brandwin will be the only recipient of an entire line of electric 4-wheeler M1KA trucks from Omega Seiki Mobility.
