The certification confirms that the batteries meet the required Indian quality and performance standards for stationary power applications.
The approval has been granted under IS 1651:2013 standards, which validates the reliability, safety and operational efficiency of the company’s battery solutions. This certification is expected to strengthen the company’s position in India’s industrial and power backup battery segment.
The certified battery range includes 2V OPzS tubular batteries available in different capacities. These batteries are designed to deliver long service life, consistent performance and high reliability for critical backup power requirements.
PowerBuild stated that the batteries feature advanced tubular plate technology and robust container design, making them suitable for demanding environments. The products are specifically developed for applications requiring uninterrupted and stable DC power supply.
These batteries are expected to find applications across power plants, substations, telecom infrastructure, railways, UPS systems and renewable energy projects where dependable backup power is essential for operations.
