Sunsure Energy Commissions 105 MWp Solar Plant in Uttar Pradesh

Sunsure Energy has commissioned a 105 MWp solar power plant in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant milestone for the state’s renewable energy sector. The project was completed within four months of signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), demonstrating the company’s ability to execute large-scale clean energy projects within a short timeframe.

The newly operational solar plant is the first project in Uttar Pradesh to evacuate renewable power through the Green Energy Corridor-II (GEC-II) network. This achievement is expected to strengthen the integration of renewable energy into the state’s electricity grid and support the growing demand for clean power from commercial and industrial consumers.

Power generated from the project is being transmitted through the newly energized 220 kV Kabrai substation, a key component of the Green Energy Corridor-II infrastructure. The successful commissioning highlights the readiness of the transmission network to support large-scale renewable energy projects across the region.

According to Sunsure Energy, the project will contribute to expanding the availability of green electricity in Uttar Pradesh while supporting the state’s broader sustainability and energy transition objectives. The plant is expected to play an important role in increasing renewable energy adoption among businesses seeking reliable and cost-effective clean power solutions.

The Green Energy Corridor-II initiative has been designed to facilitate the evacuation and transmission of renewable energy from upcoming solar projects. By enabling efficient power flow from generation sites to consumers, the infrastructure is expected to accelerate renewable energy development across Uttar Pradesh and other key growth regions.

With the commissioning of the 105 MWp Mahoba solar plant, Sunsure Energy has further strengthened its renewable energy portfolio in India.
